| Flow Info: Most of the spring and summer bring suitable flows. Transport: To get there head south on 93 for about 45 minutes from Jasper. Watch for a braided channel on your left, with another on your right. There is a small pullout and a sign marked hiking. It is also right before you reach the large wall on your left ...a seriously big cliff. Its not far after the Beauty Creek hostel which is on your left a few KM before you get there. Follow the trail to the old highway, veer left and head up the river left side of the creek until you get tot he top of the run. The Fun: 1)The Big One- A big drop maybe 60ft, that can only be ran at higher flows, but hasn't yet. It is also known as Stanley Falls. An outcropping ledge immediately behind the fall, may prevent it from ever being ran, because the stakes are so high. 2)Double Drop/Cascade- A large cascade, about 30ft. The first part drops vertical onto hard bedrock before flowing of the second. It gets run all the time these days with short boats. 3)Lumbarsis- A 30ft straight plunge into a big pool. Be wary, as the left side of the pool flushes into a bad undercut. You can't see the undercut at high water. There are also ledges outcropping into the pool, so going over-vertical can and has resulted in broken boats, and sore bodies. 4) Sloper: The next drop after Lumbarsis, is immediately after exiting the pool. A 15 to 20 ft ramp into a hole at high water, this drop can also have a very tiht landing at low water. 5) Next you have Cannon Fodder: A steep or vertical drop off a submerged log jam. Can be up to 10ft. Sometimes at lower flows, you have to portage the logs by scrambling out and over on the right. 6) The Second Fall: A slope that leads to a 20 ft. drop. An outcrop on the left gives a good boof if you hit it well. The hole at the bottom gets to be fairly powerful at high flows so protect your deck when you land. 7) Hat-Trick: An insane, (at high water,) combination of 3 drops. The first is the smallest and probably the worst. The second is straight forward. The third is again insane. At low water, it’s pretty easy. In the second drop there is a pothole on river right. If its visible the drop probably isn't too bad, once it’s covered, things are getting high, and one it’s "what pot-hole" that's high water for Beauty, and a hard level for this drop.
